Janis from Umurga.
On my way home from Tūja, I noticed a gentleman sitting kneeled, who was sitting by his bicycle, and seemed to be quite saddened…
After a couple of kilometers I decided to turn the car around, drove back and talked to him…
He had done a 10 km long trip to see his friend, but the friend was busy working. So he sat on the road, getting ready for the long way back home. So we talked more.
I gave him a pack of chips and a biscuit pack…
And then we said goodbye.
When I took a photo of Janis, he looked at me and asked: “Will I be popular in Latvia now?”
I smiled…
